The DTE3500 Controller is a single channel, digitally supervised PIDF controller for use in servo hydraulic structural and material test applications. Upgrades for multiple channels can be performed by simply adding inexpensive modules to the unit.
The software main screen shows the current conditions of a test using both numeric and graphical displays. System power status is displayed on the right and power controls are always accessible for instant use. The left side shows the progression of the current test and lets the user know exactly what step the system is on.
The front panel is designed very simply, with only the most essential components. Colored LEDs are used to display power and the current HCM status. BNCs are available for programmable analog input signals as well as digital outputs for triggering external devices. A large E-Stop is made readily available in the event an operator must immediately shut down the system for safety purposes.
Connections for the feedback loop are made using 9-pin D-SUB connectors. There are also D-SUBs for an external E-Stop and Hydraulic Power Unit Control. BNCs are available for programmable digital inputs as well as an external interlock. The standard layout includes spacing for two channels, upgrading to three or four is simply a matter of adding a second box.
